In April of 2022, Sayyid Muntadher and a team of volunteers came together to start a Shia Islamic school within our community. Alhamdulillah, it gives us great pleasure to share that this school, Elham Academy, will be opening their doors today, Monday, on September 11th, 2023 with almost 20 students enrolled between the ages of 3-9.
This is a major milestone for our broader Shia Ithna’asheri community here in Minnesota, and we are very excited about this coming year and the journey ahead.
This was a large initiative led by dedicated volunteers from both Anjuman-e-Asghari and the Imam Hussain Islamic Center. It’s great to see what we can accomplish when our communities come together.
We pray for the success of the students, teachers, and parents as they embark on this journey.
