Once again the Holy month of Muharram is upon us and we pray that the Almighty Allah (SWT) accepts our A’amaal and Dua’s in our remembrance of Imam Hussain (AS) and the sacrifice in Karbala, and grant us the opportunity to mourn together and visit our Imam (AS) soon.
Ramadhan Moonsighting & Extended Schedule
Based on current moonlighting forecasts, the first night of Muharram is expected to be on Tuesday, July 18th. Please click on the link below for the extended schedule for Muharram and Safar which is subject to change based on moon sighting.

Sayed Ahmed Al-Qazwini
Sayed Ahmed Al-Qazwini is the Assistant Imam at the Islamic Institute of America in Dearborn Heights, MI. He is the co-founder of the Imam Hujjja Seminary, which is the largest English Hawza in the US, and currently teaches courses at the seminary. He is also on the Advisory board of the Interfaith committee of the IIA. Sayed Ahmed leads the Muslim Youth Connection, which is a youth group that focuses on instilling Islamic values and teachings in youth around the country.
Sayed Ahmed Qazwini studied in the Hawza of Qom for 15 years under a number of prominent grand scholars. He also taught various courses during his time in the Hawza. He has written research papers in the field of Islamic Jurisprudence and the Science of Hadith.
He regularly travels across the US, Canada, Europe and Australia to lecture on Islamic theology and Jurisprudence.

Muharram Fund
The Muharram fund is open. This fund is critical and allows the Jamaat to run programs and cover operating expenses until Ramadhan.
The goal this year is to raise $65,000 during the Holy month of Muharram.
